Review: Witch & Wizard: The Gift by James Patterson

Title: Witch & Wizard: The Gift (Witch & Wizard #2)
Author: James Patterson, Ned Rust
Published: Dec 2010
Number of Pages: Paperback, 333 Pages

Genre: Young Adult, Fantasy, Dystopia, Magic, Paranormal, Adventure, Witches, Science Fiction

Plot: (Goodreads.com) When Whit & Wisty were imprisoned by the wicked forces of the totalitarian regime known as the New Order, they were barely able to escape with their lives. Now part of a hidden community of teens like themselves, Whit and Wisty have established themselves as leaders of the Resistance, willing to sacrifice anything to save kids kidnapped and brutally imprisoned by the New Order. But the One has other plans in store for them: He needs Wisty, for she is "The One Who Has the Gift." While trying to figure out what that means, Whit and Wisty's suspenseful adventures through Overworld and Shadowland lead to a jaw-dropping climax and conclusion: the highly-anticipated fulfillment of the heart-pounding opening prologue of book one...The Execution of the Allgoods.

Personal Thoughts: I got this book, the second of the series, for Christmas from my lovely husband.  I love the quips in this book much more than the first and the story has been moving along a lot faster. The plot for book two has been much more exciting than book one. A lot more of their family history has come out! New characters are introduced and The One is after Wisty and her magical abilities! The siblings learn more about themselves in this book and more about their parents and the New Order that they are being forced to live in! Also, Wisty's musical abilities are brought into play as well... it's interesting and entertaining! I enjoyed this one a lot more that book one!
