Personal Thoughts: I was not sure I would like this one and was delightfully surprised by the fact that I did enjoy it. I enjoy James Patterson books about serial killers - and I loved the Maximum Ride series. This is just a different feel for him. This was my first EVER dystopia/apocalyptic type book in the YA category. Honestly, it was a good one to start with. The story flows well and characters are smart, witty and really easy to relate to. It's worth a try at least. It's a storyline about a brother and sister getting thrown into a life of wizardry that their parents never warned them about. It has some humor and some action - and lots of drama. I never knew what would happen next, the authors sure kept me at the edge of my seat. I can't wait to continue the series!
